In the third quarter of 2024, the Books and Reference category on the Android platform in Belgium showcased notable trends. Insights from Sensor Tower reveal how these top-performing applications fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

DeepL: translate & write maintained a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.6K in early July and reaching over 2.3K by the end of September. Active users also saw a gradual rise, from approximately 39.2K to 43.3K during the same period.

On the other hand, Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab experienced a decline in weekly downloads, which dropped from nearly 1K at the start of the quarter to just over 200 by the end. Despite this, the app's active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 20.9K and 23K.

Finally, Audible: Audio Entertainment demonstrated strong revenue performance, with weekly earnings consistently over $5K, peaking at $7.9K in early July. Downloads were dynamic, starting at 390 and reaching a high of 1K at the end of September. Active users remained robust, staying above 34K.
